Downtown Ogunquit Gem – Walk to Beach, Shops, & Dining

The management company was very responsive to a minor maintenance problem-and great communication so we could confine our overly friendly dogs. The kitchen was very well stocked with equipment-we love to cook and made use of all the pots and pans. It was a little challenging to have only one shower for 8 adults-thank goodness for the powder room! Lastly, not their fault, Ogunquit has changed a lot in the 15 years since we were last there. I’m a very light sleeper and the truck traffic noise at 5 am woke me up daily. The flip side to being so close to the main drag shops and restaurants!

Our parents started bringing us to OGT since we were toddlers, and now we’re the parents bringing our kids and grandkids here every year. We rent a few houses, enjoy the ocean and shops in the village by day and our favorite restaurants at night. We found 181 Main St quite by default this year because the larger house we’ve rented in past years was sold. Our main criteria is to be within walking distance to the beach and the village and for our rental to be clean and well appointed. We had no idea just how pleased and comfortable we would be at 181 Main St. It exceeded expectations in every regard. The beds and pillows, linens, comforters and bath towels are the best of any rental we’ve ever experienced-very nice quality, and the living space is roomy and flows from kitchen to dining to living room and front porch so easily. The kitchen is well stocked with lovely flatware, glasses and dishes as well as all of the pots and pans we needed for the couple of dinners we made. Having enough beach chairs for all 6 of us in addition to the beach caddy was a huge plus for us! We just wish it was twice the size so more of us could stay under one roof. This is a solid 5+ star!!!

This was our second Ogunquit vacation staying in this house and we plan to be back for a third. Everything was perfect. We had everything we needed and more. The walk to the beach is easy. All beach items are supplied. The house is perfectly stocked. We lacked for nothing. It is so nice to be right in the center of town. We did not need to drive anywhere. Even the weather cooperated. Thank you again for the best beach vacation!

This well appointed, very clean & cozy home is nestled in the heart of Ogunquit. The location is perfect & within walking distance of everything …restaurants, shops , beach, the Marginal Way-no vehicle needed! The Maine Street rental staff were great & very responsive, thank you! It was a perfect week all around for our sibling gathering & we would definitely look to return next Fall

A clean, nicely furnished home in a perfect location. The interior is spacious, and has a modern kitchen. You can walk to just about anywhere that you need to go.
